Sanwo-Olu finally meets “Mummy Calm Down” boy
The Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has finally met with the four-year-old boy, Oreofeoluwa Lawal-Babalola, alongside his family at his office on Saturday.
Oreofeoluwa inspired the “Mummy calm down” video. The little boy became an instant sensation on the social media after a video of him went viral while in tears as his mum scolded him and he confidently told the mum to “calm down” and give him a “last chance”.
The video attracted the attention of the governor who wrote the last Eid-el-Kabir message to Lagosians based on the inspiration from the boy’s “calm down” message.
He subsequently requested to meet with the boy.
“The exchange was indeed funny, but it depicts the efforts parents put in moulding children into responsible adults. I want to assume that his mom indeed calmed down because the appeal was moving enough to make anyone change their mind,” the governor had said.
