OOU students’ abductors demand N25m ransom from victim’s family

The gunmen who kidnapped two students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) in Ogun State, are demanding N25m from the father of one of the kidnapped, Oyefule Oluwatosin Abisola.According to report available to our Correspondent, Abisola is the daughter of Prince Biodun Oyefule, the Senior Special Assistant to a prominent traditional ruler in Iperu, Ogun State.A friend of the family said the kidnappers had already got in touch with the father of the girl demanding a sum of N25m.“The family needs our prayers for the girls to regain freedom from their captors.“The kidnappers are currently demanding a ransom of #25million,”he said.Recall that two 300 level female students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Ayetoro campus of the Olabisi Onabanjo University(OOU), Ogun State, had earlier been abducted by gunmen suspected to be people carrying out ‘kidnapping for ransom.’The students are identified as Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola – one is said to be studying Forestry and Wildlife Management while the other is of Agricultural Economics department.The victims were reportedly abducted at about 9 p.m on Sunday when the attackers stormed Igbole Aibo Quarter area of Ayetoro, in Yewa North Local Government Area of the state and fired several shots before taking the captives away just when they were going back home.The Deputy Registrar, Corporate Affairs Uunit of the OOU, Mr. Niyi Oduwole, had confirmed the abduction, describing it as unfortunate.
