Cavani bags No.7 shirt at Manchester United
New boy, Edinson Cavani has become the latest player to don the legendary Manchester United’s number 7 jersey. The club yesterday officially confirmed that handing over of the iconic number to the Uruguayan striker. He thus joined the league of great players of the club to have gotten the shirt. Among those who wore shirt number 7 in the past are George Best, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo.Lately, some other great players like Angel Di Maria, Micheal Owen, Memphis Depay and Alexis Sanchez wore shirt number 7 but had little success at Manchester United.Cavani arrived at Old Trafford on deadline day after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired in the summer.
