The Nigeria Government has urged the United Kingdom Government to send Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch back to Nigeria for proper education on citizenship, berating the Tory leader as a liar, and a lost daughter of the country.
Bayo Onanuga, spokesperson for the Tinubu-led government, made this statement in response to Mrs. Badenoch’s claim that her children are not Nigerian citizens because she is a woman.
“Kemi Badenoch lied. She owes her fatherland some apology. Britain should send our lost daughter Kemi Badenoch home for a proper re-education,” Onanuga said in a post on X yesterday.
Quoting a post by @SholaMos1 who described Mrs Badenoch as a political prostitute, Onanuga said, “Thanks to Shola Shogbamimu for enlightening the Tory politician. Section 25 of our constitution defines who has the right to Nigerian citizenship,” stating the provision of the Nigerian constitution contrary to Mrs. Badenoch’s claim.
Nigerians on social media on Monday lambasted Mrs Badenoch over her push for harder immigration to block Nigerians from entering the UK to obtain British citizenship.
Mrs. Badenoch, in an interview with CNN on Sunday, said she is pushing for laws that would make immigration more difficult for Nigerians.
She also made false claims that Nigerian law prohibits her children from citizenship because she’s a woman.
